Two cups, four faces

These are little coffee cups that I bought a while back. They had a silly 'heart' painted on them, in red, and I knew that one day, I'd wipe it away with some roses and rosebuds. That day came, and here's the result. I especially love the way the leaves and curly-cues turned out :)

Flowers in a round

Ok, I'll admit it: I got a bit lost when I tried the wispy blue flowers, but there's a first time for everything, and it was the first time for wispy! Hahahah! I'll have better luck next time.

A marque of roses

Un marque-page pour mon ami, Za:

Za is my buddy from French class, and she's kindly agreed to take notes for me when I'll be away from class over the next couple of weeks! I'm hoping that this book-mark, smiling up at her during class, will help her to remember her assignment... er, I mean, promise! ;)

Daniyal

I've made things for so many people, and I thought I'd better get round to doing something for someone special closer to home: my son.

This one is for him: his name, in 'MAN-ly' colours, and hopefully (fingers crossed) in a design that isn't too 'girlish'!!!

'Daniyal' is an old Moghul name.

Happiness

I've had this piece of mdf for a long time, and was waiting for something or someone special - to give me a reason to paint it.

Then I heard that an old friend was feeling down, and I thought that this would be the perfect gift: a gift of happiness ;)

Hindsight is 20/20, so now I think that the words could be MUCH larger!

Whenever I know that a piece I've done is going to someone, I take many different views of it, so that I can remember what I've done, and see any mistakes that I've made, and think of ways to improve.

I hope my friend like this.

WIP: Another bottle

This is another Davidoff bottle - this time, the embossed name is covered with a mat of broken egg-shells. These I painted over with red and green enamel paint. The bottom is mottled enamel paint.

This is a work-in-progress. I'm still deciding: whether to do some flowers, or scroll-work on the bottom - or, to leave it like this. It's kinda growing on me, actually!

Bottle art

This is an instant coffee bottle - Davidoff: and it's my favourite coffee! ;)

Because the bottle is embossed with its name, I had to think up a design that would disguise this:

Scroll-work, done in metallics: blue, purple and gold
