Abstract art
I have always been fascinated by abstract art - not all of it; just the ones that I can feel are saying something to me. I have always found Picasso's work amazing, and even while others said he must have been drunk or cross-eyed when he was painting, I have remained convinced that he saw something there that others couldn't see. Or wouldn't see. His wasn't just splashed colour on canvass. He used his paint as I do my words: to say something, to comment about his world.
Yennyways, back to why I'm here: Today I found something online that I thought was simply brilliant.
I have his site on my sidebar, but I'll put it here as well:

In the video below, he draws a rose - very different from what I do, but beautiful just the same:

An expert explains her craft. It's amazing how generous she is with her knowledge, and how much this has helped me understand what to do, and how to do it.

Scrolls and whorls and curly-cues
This is something I really love, and something that I can do - though I kinda get lost in mine! This video sets it all out so beautifully, and makes it look so simple. And it is - it is something relaxing, and creative, and it gets you get lost in its creation:
